transmediaclubI've been hearing that Ikenfell has a lot of NB characters, but neither the Steam Store page or a cursory googling confirms this. Considering the source, I am pretty sure they are right, but it's not obvious.
As I predicted, you can no longer tell from the store page or most reviews that Tell Me Why has a trans main character or deals with a lot of trans themes. There used to be a 'trans character' tag on the game but I can't find it now. Also trying to search for 'trans character' on Steam gives me a lot of false positives like SAS: Zombie Assault 4. That zombie game has 'The Transfederation' as a name for a government, causing it to show up in search results. Most of the other search results? Yeah, I didn't check each one but I think most are false positives.
You an search by the LGBT tag, but not all LGBT content is trans or even trans-friendly.
Monster Prom and it's sequel Monster Camp are trans-friendly dating sims. The second game has an NB character.
I can currently sorting through lists to find some content to post here, but lists I am seeing including things like Sunless Sea jut because you can choose to be called something gender-neutral like Captain. I am currently playing the game, but I wouldn't review it here.
Also, lists I am seeing of 'trans games' just have the ability to pick pronouns and don't bother having games like Tell Me Why, Dragon Age: Inquisition, Monster Camp or 2064 Read Only Memories on the list.
Anyway, I am not posting thisjust to vent! I am working on making better lists and also maybe some Steam curation. I want to find more things to cover here, anyone have any good leads or suggestions? If not I'll have to do reviews of the monster dating sims I've been playing.
