Lily Simpson has a youtube channel where she looks into trans representation in films and TV shows, mostly with a focus on bad representation and complicated rep. She posts about a lot of long running shows that had a 'trans episode' including animated shows. So, she covers a lot of the media I am unlikely to post about.

While I am fine with people posting anything with canonical rep or adjacent topics, personally I like to track down good rep even if it means playing obscure games to verify what I've heard or digging up old documentaries. Also, what is good rep and what is bad rep is a very tricky topic. There are some TV show episodes often held up as problematic that I have no problem with. Disclosure, the documentary that partially inspired this comm and whose image is on the profile page, goes a lot into how early representation that is bad by today's standards was meaningful or helpful to a lot of people.

Anyway, Lily does very good and nuanced breakdowns of a lot of media and puts it into good context. And again, she posts about things I am very unlikely to make posts about so it's a good channel if you are looking for information about those shows or just a lot more information about canonical trans characters.

Seconded! Her videos are great and take into account the good elements of bad representation, which is important given that she covers slightly older media that isn't going to be perfect.
