Star Trek day and possibly first look at new characters!

Today is apparently Star Trek day! On Twitter they are advertising a free Trek marathon, but when I click it I am just being directed to a free trial of CBS All-Access. I'd look into it more, but I need to post and run.

The Discovery Season 3 trailer just dropped and I think it gives looks at some of the new characters. I am pretty sure I spotted the trans man character. I'll check and post screencaps later. I just wanted to let people know it's Trek Day and panels on the show are going on, before Trek Day is over.

Also I've added a Star Trek tag. The panel at Star Trek Discovery from today is here. There isn't much information as they are trying to avoid spoilers. The new season will be out in October 15th, so we'll be seeing the new characters fairly soon. I'll be interested in how they are introduced, because that seems to be stumbling point for a lot of writers when it comes to trans and/or non-binary characters.

I am watching Discovery and hope to be caught up in time for the new season.
