He is one of my all-time favorite filmmakers, I was so heartbroken when I read the news. I can't say I didn't see it coming, what with the last update on his health reporting him being permanently housebound from his emphysema, but it's a huge loss all the same. His works meant a lot to me and many of my trans friends.
