Who is planning on seeing it? Anyone re-watch the original movies? Any predictions or hot takes?

I tried to find a good video essay on the OG films, but every one I tried to watch had ... views not actually supported by the text of the film.

Planning on seeing it! I'm keeping my excitement level cautiously moderate as, uh, I was burned pretty hard by the sequels as a teen. I loved the first film though, I'm actually going to be seeing a re-screening of it tomorrow.

Predictions? Aside from buckling down harder on the trans themes of the originals, not much--which I'm perfectly fine with, I want to be surprised. Hoping there aren't too many nostalgia throwbacks, as the final line of the trailer indicated.

I'm curious to see where it goes. The 'This story isn't what you think it is' line is interesting. I rewatched the original films recently, but might do another rewatch before it comes out.

I need to rewatch the original movies! I keep forgetting until I'm not in a position to dig for them, lol.

I will be waiting for its DVD release, but very much looking forward to it in a few more months.

Predictions: It will incorporate some elements first seen in the Matrix comics, such as the truce between Machines and Zion, and maybe the "guy they accelerated growth to fight aliens" bit. I'm wondering if maybe the Neo we see is a Zion faction trying to recreate The One to restart the war (maybe from a copy of Neo's memories?), and the Machines are the good guys this time around trying to locate and save him.

I'm watching the streaming release. I am glad I don't need to go out for it!

I haven't read the comics, just rewatched the original films. I was wondering if Neo survived but was very, very badly injured and was put into a custom matrix to while his body and mind healed, but now it's time for him to wake up.
